I was introduced to Curry Wok by a friend who enjoys coming here for comfort food since his JC days. The food at Curry Wok was tasty and has this warm homely feel, or perhaps it was the quiet, cosy ambience reminded me of those neighbourhood eateries in Serangoon and Balestier where my friends and I would go after an examination to have some nice food. The place evokes a sense of nostalgia.
The food too, the Nonya Chap Chye was nicely prepared, the vegetables were just nice and comes with a broth that wasn't too salty but the most memorable dishes are the curries such as the yummy chicken curry and the Fish Head Curry which was fragrant and packed with flavors. Would love to have some bread to mop up the curry sauce.
